The Sentier des Douaniers at Saint-Palais-sur-Mer, a wonderful footpath once used by customs officials in search of contraband leads you along the coast from from beach to beach.
Discover the Gironde Estuary and the Cordouan Lighthouse by boat from Royan.
The Zoo de La Palmyre, 8 km from the campsite, houses over 1600 animals in France’s most visited private zoo which enjoys once of the best reputations in Europe.
Cycle path from the Ile d'Oléron to Talmont-sur-Gironde (classified one of France’s “most beautiful villages”) via Royan and along the coast.
Explore the coast of the Marais Poitevin towards Mornac-sur-Seudre (classified one of Frances “most beautiful villages”) 7 km from the campsite. Visit the lovely port of La Tremblade where you can take a boat for a trip around Fort Boyard with a stop on the Ile d'Aix.

Les Côtes de Saintonge provides the chance to relax in complete freedom in the refreshing shade of its oak trees and makes a great base for visiting this family attraction, located between La Rochelle’s fishing port and marina.
