Landscaped with lavenders, oleanders and olive trees, the Soleil d’Oc is set close to Narbonne-Plage with its long sandy beach, shops and colourful markets and to the old port of Gruissan with its Tour Barberousse and chalets on stilts. Swimming, water sports and boat trips are just some of the great activities in the surrounding area which is also home to the wines of La Clape.

The signposted cycle route around the Gruissan lakes with guided tours of the salt pans and food tastings. Walk, cycle or boat along the Canal du Midi.
Sigean safari park where over 3800 African animals offer visitors a glimpse of life in the wild (37km).
The Circuit des Auzils takes you to the sailors’ cemetery and Chapel of Notre Dame des Auzils as well as offering stunning views along the coast.
Explore the centre of the historic Roman city of Narbonne by car, taking in St. Just’s Cathedral and the paved Via Domitia, and stop off to visit the museum of stone carving.
Nestling in the foothills of the Massif de la Clape et du Quatourze, on the edge of Corbières, Le Soleil d’Oc lies amid beautiful countryside in a region with a long tradition of fine wines and culinary specialities. Both real wine connoisseurs, your hosts will be only too pleased to share their local knowledge and point you in the direction of some of the local, including Château Le Bouis, La Cave de Gruissan and Domaine Camplazens. Further afield you’ll find Corbières, Minervois and Fitou – a real feast for the senses.
